Are you the author of your own illness? In his production “Orchiectomy on the right” - the medical term for the surgical removal of the right testicle in the case of malignant testicular cancer - the author uses his own texts to search for the cause of his stage character's cancer. He writes “Why me?” and raises the question of guilt and responsibility - two motifs that circulate in the historical discourse on cancer and lead to the belief that cancer is the consequence of certain human behavior. In the process, the artist's own homosexuality is questioned as to its significance for testicular cancer and, in the triangle of 'illness'-'sexuality'-'theater', enables a play of ideas between the illness, its symbolism and the space in which it is presented.

In the interplay of video, sound and narrative, he creates a new character in his solo performance who, after the removal of her testicles, defends herself against the tragedy with its social and moral categories of guilt, curse and punishment. “Le corps est le théâtre et la maladie est un spectacle.”
